05/17/2006: Thanks to all for successful  annual spring picnic
Friends and families had a wonderful gathering at our Spring Picnic.  Everyone enjoyed the amusing speeches, beautiful choir singing, along with lobsters, pig pickin and other delightful food.       

05/15/2006: TACAS youths enjoyed beach trip

04/26/2006: Internship Opportunities
The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) and White House invite the college students to participate 2006 Internship programs in Washington, DC.  Interested, please download APAICS and White House application forms.   The deadlines for White House intern is June 16 for fall application and October 13 for 2007 spring. 
01/28/2006: Chinese New Year Festival  Recap
With 7-hour stage performances, cultural exhibits, arts, crafts, games, food and educational films, TACAS welcomes in the Year of Dog. Special thanks to the planning committee, NAAAP-NC, 300 plus performers/ chaperones,  100 plus volunteers and 3,000 plus participants.

10/17/2005: 20th Raleigh International Festival Recap

10/17/2005: China's Twelve Girls Band Concert 
The twelve Girls Band concert ended with tremendous success.  The Chinese Community came out in support of Katrina/Rita Relief while enjoying the concert from the internationally popular band. Please view News and Observer article1,article2, article3.

09/03/2005 Hurricane Response
A message on Hurricane Response to members of TACAS community.  To urge members to donate to the disaster relief organization such as the Red Cross to help the hurricane victims.

08/14/2005 Edward Tie: a second life
A News & Observer interview with long-time TACAS member Edward Tie.  Ed was one of Raleigh's first Chinese immigrants, came to America by himself and almost penniless.  He was ostracized as a Chinese and drafted into the Navy during World War II.  Hard work to overcome  the hardships brought him a satisfying second life.
